Content Usage & Rights Policy

1. Purpose

This policy explains how content submitted as part of Stone Play may be used, distributed, and promoted by the Stone Foundation.

It complements the General Regulations and the Terms of Participation & Image Rights.

2. Content Ownership

Participants retain full ownership of the original content they create.

Submitting content to Stone Play does not constitute a transfer of copyright in any way.

3. License Granted

By submitting content, the participant grants the Stone Foundation a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • publish the content on Stone Play’s official platforms
  • include it in communication and promotional materials
  • include it in documentaries, compilations, or retrospectives
  • use it for educational purposes related to the initiative

4. Scope and Limits

This license applies only to uses directly related to Stone Play and the activities of the Stone Foundation.

  • content is not sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes unrelated to the initiative
  • the organization strives to credit authors whenever the format allows
  • content is used with respect for its original intention

5. Participant Warranties

By submitting content, the participant warrants that it:

  • is original and created by themselves or their team
  • does not infringe on third-party rights, including copyright
  • complies with applicable laws
  • aligns with Stone Play values

Participants are solely responsible for the content they submit.

6. Minor Participants

For minor participants, the parental or legal authorization required for participation also covers the use of content within the framework defined by this policy.

7. Removal Requests

Any participant may request the removal of content by writing to: governance@stone-foundation.org

The organization makes reasonable efforts to respond to such requests. However, content already distributed, printed, or integrated into existing productions cannot always be removed.

8. Updates

This policy may be updated to reflect the operational, legal, or organizational evolutions of the initiative.
