Moderation Policy

Content Management Framework
Governed by the Stone Foundation

Last updated: August 2026

1. Purpose

This policy defines how content and interactions are reviewed, moderated, and managed within Stone Play.

Its purpose is to protect the integrity of the competition, the quality of exchanges, and the welcoming atmosphere that characterizes the Stone Play community.

It complements the General Regulations and the Code of Ethics for Participants.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • content submitted as part of the competition
  • comments and interactions on official platforms
  • community spaces and support groups managed by the Stone Play team

It applies to everyone present in these spaces, whether participant, supporter, or member of the public.

3. Content Validation

Content submitted to the competition is reviewed by the Stone Play team before any publication on official platforms.

The review covers in particular:

  • the originality of the content
  • compliance with the theme of the edition
  • compliance with applicable laws
  • alignment with the values and educational mission of Stone Play

Non-compliant content may be rejected, with the possibility for the participant to submit a corrected version within the applicable deadlines.

4. Moderation of Community Spaces

Community spaces and support groups are official extensions of Stone Play. Exchanges within them are moderated according to the following principles:

  • exchanges take place in French or English, the two official languages of Stone Play
  • the tone remains courteous, constructive, and respectful
  • disagreements, complaints, and sensitive matters are handled privately with the team, not publicly
  • spreading false information or unfounded claims is prohibited
  • spam, unauthorized promotion, and repeated disruption of exchanges are prohibited

These spaces remain youthful, friendly, and relaxed places. Moderation protects that atmosphere: humor, spontaneity, and mutual support fully belong there, with respect for everyone.

5. Moderation Measures

Moderation favors dialogue and applies graduated, proportionate measures:

  • reminder of the rules, publicly or privately
  • individual warning
  • removal of the message or content concerned
  • temporary removal from the community space
  • permanent exclusion in case of repeated offenses or serious misconduct

In case of behavior seriously contrary to the rules, the organization may apply a higher measure directly, without going through the intermediate steps.

6. Appeals and Contact

Anyone wishing to contest a moderation decision or ask a question may write to: governance@stone-foundation.org

Each request is reviewed attentively and impartially. Final moderation decisions rest with the Stone Foundation.

7. Updates

This policy may be updated to reflect the operational, legal, or organizational evolutions of the initiative.
